For more than three decades, the OHC Black Heritage Committee has documented, celebrated, and preserved African American life and legacy in Waycross and Ware County, Georgia.

BHEC has grown over the past 32 years through exhibitions, historical research, cemetery preservation, and community education — and is now seeking independence as its own legacy continues.
